I've been on the pill for 5 years now, and recently skipped a period on purpose by skipping my sugar pills. I'm about 7 days away from starting my next period (first in two months) and I've started bleeding. Not as heavy as my typically period, and the discharge isn't as period-like as usual (more like heavy spotting) - is this normal?

I may have missed a pill or two, but I believe I've caught up.

Any help. I'm freaking out a little.
