Chronic Vaginal Discharge and Itching

Hello! I am a 46 year old woman. A little history ... I had a complete hysterectomy in Jan 2008 (due to endometriosis and an ovarian mass), I am currently on 1 mg estradiol (weaning down from 2 mg at the advice of my md as I have had some lumps in my breast and thinning of my urethra due to the hormones), also take synthroid. About 2 1/2 years ago I started getting chronic yeast and bacterial infections. My gyn has treated me over and over, but they just keep coming back. I continue to have chronic discharge and itching (mostly outside the vagina), but yeast and bacteria cultures are now coming back negative even though my gyn can see lots of discharge during the exam. The discharge is so much that I can feel it coming out and I have to wear a pantyliner, and the itching is pretty much constant (day and night). I have tried OTC itching creams, wipes and feminine washes and they don't help. I also use unscented body wash and at my doctors request, I dont use it directly on the vaginal area, but that doesn't seem to matter either. I have been married for over 10 years and we are monogamous. I had a weird dream last night that my gyn's nurse called me and said I have some kind of fatal cysts ... I KNOW it was just a dream, but this is how much this is driving me crazy and concerns me. If anyone has any ideas of what this could be, I would GREATLY appreciate your comments! Could I have vaginal cancer? Should I see a specialist? Thank you. :)
