I'm a nurse and I've always been told that you should see a gynocologist after you have become sexually active no matter what you're age. The truth is you don't have to have anything wrong with you to go to a gynocologist. It's important to have a pap smear atleast once a year to check for cervical cancer. Especially if you have a family history of ovarian/cervical cancer in your family. Your doctor will also perform routine breast exam. It's just a good idea to get examined to make sure you're healthy. and its usually only once a year.

I would say yes. Its important that you get regular pap smears and make sure everything else is okay. Are you sexually active? If so, you should definitely go. I first went when I was 16, so think about it.
