Has anyone tried Dong Quai for menopause symptoms? What is it good for?

sposed to be good for hot flashes, but it's toxic in large amounts. be careful.

heard it can thin your blood, so if your on blood thinners ask a doctor first. Could be dangerous.

there are better things out there. try macafem which is great at balancing hormones

sounds a bit dangerous from what the group is saying here - i'd be careful and talk to a doc before taking anything. you don't want to self medicate and end up hurting yourself

babygoodwin, lots of regular docs don't like herbal meds and think people who take them or go to a naturopaht are weirdos.

some good counsel here. some people react to dong quai. depends on the symptoms you are having so don't take stuff you dont know much about. check in the a naturopathic type to get an opinion and do your homework. theres lots of good stuff out there but you have to be smart about it. just because its natural doesn't mean its the right stuff for you
