I recently have been having problems with breakthrough bleeding. I was on Ortho-Cyclen for a year when I had 12 days of heavy breakthrough bleeding. I went to the doctor and she prescribed Orgestel-50, which has the highest amount of estrogen, for 3 months (this was in October.) It worked great. I had no breakthrough bleeding and everything was fine. Then 1.5 months ago (January) I went to the doctor again because she only wanted me on that pill for 3 months because it was so high. I got switched to Necon 1/35. I had breakthrough bleeding for about 6 days the first month followed by a very light period (the doctor said that was normal because of the breakthrough bleeding.) Now it is my second month and I began bleeding again, a day later then last month but I am wondering if switching to a multi-phasic pill would reduce/stop my breakthrough bleeding?
I have a small build so I think I have lower estrogen levels. Any help would be great!
Thank you!
