PCOS; increased health risk remain after oophorectomy?

I am a 54 yr old who had polycystic ovaries as a young woman, onset about age 16 (following a struggle with anorexia at age 12-14). At age 28 I had a complete hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries. My health has been excellent in the intervening years. Lately I have read a lot about the increased risk of insulin resistance, diabetes and heart disease that goes along with PCOS. My question is---am I still at increased risk since the ovaries are long gone?? Thanks everyone.
